Family Portraits

What better way to remember THIS precious moment in your family’s life than with a portrait? I love bringing the natural beauty of Northern Michigan into my photographs. Regardless of the season, I shoot almost entirely outdoors, utilizing both natural light and strobes. My aim is to provide you with timeless, above-the-mantle-worthy art that captures your personalities, interactions, and family love.

After the photography is done, I spend hours perfecting your images. My editing style is clean, balanced and detailed. I ensure that you actually look like YOU when I am done. You will receive online, digital access to the final processed photographs. You will have full printing and social media rights.

NOTE: You can expect 50-80 photos per hour. The number of photographs depends on a multitude of variables including lighting situations and how quickly we move from pose to pose.

You work hard to plan the perfect day, unique to you and your personalities. My goal is to help you remember every detail of your day, without taking you away from your day. I strive to get know you and what is important to you.

My photojournalistic style will capture your unique personalities and tell your one-of-a-kind story. From dress details to family photos, bridal portraits to the incredible party…the images I capture will transport you back to the emotions of your extraordinary day.

All-Day Coverage
I arrive as you start getting ready and stay through the majority of the dance party.

Complimentary One-Hour Local Photo Session
It is important that we spend a bit of time together before the wedding day so I can get to know you and your personalities and you become comfortable with my personal photography style. So bring on the engagement session Up North!

Full Printing Rights
4-6 weeks after your wedding, you receive a link to your photographs. All photographs are carefully and artistically processed. You can expect 300-500 photos for a full-day wedding! You never have to order prints through me, saving you hundreds/thousands of dollars in print costs.

Style
My style is photojournalism based because I am a storyteller at heart. I embed myself with you and your guests to not only show what your wedding looked it, but what it felt like. I love documenting genuine emotions. So instead of artificially posing you, I serve more as a director to help elicit true emotions that make for stunning images.

Shot Lists
I encourage you to provide a list for formally posed shots with family, but beyond that, I rarely need much more guidance. I want to capture your natural personal interactions and those special moments and details I discover at your wedding. Still…keep those Pinterest boards full of photographs you love. It will give me a sense of your dream wedding album.

Equipment
I shoot on pro-level Nikon camera bodies and love prime lenses. For 90% of my shots, that means my favorite lens in the world – the 85mm. I have a full collection of professional lenses and lighting equipment for nearly all situations. What is more, I have backups for everything.

Investment
My all-day rate starts at $3500. I do require a 50% deposit and signed contract in order to book.

Small Weddings and Elopements
I do offer special hourly rates for small weddings and elopements. Call me and I can tailor a package for your unique needs.

Second Shooter
For most weddings I am the only shooter. However, for an additional fee I do offer second shooters.
