Church Beach Family Photography | I have yet to photograph a person with so much joy as this little boy. Every time the gentle waves washed up his back he just had an absolute giggle fit. The family received so many photos because I could not skip over any of the dozens of images he gave me.

What is more, the light was sublime, a thick haze from the forest fires out west serving as a massive light box to the west.

Church Beach in Good Hart, just north of Harbor Springs, is the ideal place for beach photographs. Especially with young children. The beach is almost always secluded, with little or no other people within eyesight. There are sections of the beach that have very shallow areas for babies to wade in. And, most importantly, there are these great boulders just off shore.
