Our Favorite Photos
With so many choices for your senior, headshot, and lifestyle portraits, why would you choose The Crooked Porch Photography?
It is my goal to provide you with portrait art that captures the essence of who you are at this important moment in your life. You are not just an appointment, but my top priority.
The Crooked Porch Photography does not work inside a studio full of fake-looking backdrops. I choose instead to take advantage of the amazing colors, textures, and locations of Northern Michigan. Together we will marry the perfect outdoor location to your personality and style. My goal is make you feel like a super model.
After the photography is done, I spend hours perfecting your images. My editing style is clean, balanced, and detailed. I ensure that you actually look like YOU when I am done. You will receive a flash drive of both high-resolution (for print) and low-resolution (for social media) files of your images. These images are yours, to use as you see fit. While I will help you with online ordering, you won’t pay me a penny for prints.

“My daughter recently had a photoshoot with Dave from the Crooked Porch and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. He was professional and creative. He gave suggestions and guidance during the session, but was also game for whatever ideas we had as well.
We ended up with portraits that were original and artistic. I would highly recommend him and will be using him as a photographer again!”
“Dave turns out memorable photographs through a combination of his technical skills and what seems to be his ability to capture the essence of his subject. Secondly he has a true passion for his craft, he is not out to just take basic photos that will blend in with the rest of your album and move onto the next client. In working with him it is clear he truly cares about the finished product.”
